The Super Bowl is now over. It should go down as one of the great Super Bowls in history. We had solid special teams, we had fantastic D for most of the game, and finally, we had some great offense to close the game. Everyone thought the Giants had a chance to win, but I don’t think anyone really thought they would and they proved us all wrong.

New England 14 at NY Giants 17: The Pats sure looked out of sync on the field in this one while the Giants looked focused and determined. This was fun to watch. How Eli got out of the pocket on the final drive with what seemed like 9 guys clutching at him, we’ll never know. Don’t forget the amazing catch by David Tyree. Fantasy Player of the Game: Eli Manning (255yds 2tds)

PAT’s

Congratulations to the Giants. That was impressive and well deserved.

Alicia Keys has an unbelievable voice and did a fantastic job. She’s always got a smile on her face and looks like she’s having the time of her life. Plus she is so hot that saying she’s hot doesn’t even scratch the surface.

It’s got to be tough singing a duet with Willie Nelson, especially when you have a big voice like Sara Evans. Willie is a legend, but he’s always been on the quiet side when on stage.

Can we still say the Pats are one of the great teams of all time? 18-1 is awfully impressive, but it’s going to be tough to lump them in with the Niners and Bears and Steelers and Cowboys since they... read the complete article.

The Championship games are done and the Super Bowl is set. We had some good football this week as expected. The Pats get one more shot at perfection and the Giants get one more shot at ruining that perfection. If we get what we got the last time these two teams hooked up, it'll go down as one of the best Super Bowls of all time. Let's get right to it.

NY Giants 23 at Green Bay 20 (OT): This was everything we expected it to be. Back and forth, hard hitting, and fun to watch. The Giants just keep winning and are now on their way to the big show. The Packers are on their way home. Fantasy Players of the Game: Brett Favre (236yds 2td), Donald Driver (141yds 1td), Plaxico Burress (154yds)

San Diego 12 at New England 21: The injury ridden Chargers just couldn't hold it together and New England did what they've done all year. Keep it tight until halftime, make the adjustments, then finish it. Fantasy Players of the Game: Tom Brady (209yds 2td), Laurence Maroney (122yds 1td), Nate Kaeding (4fgs)

PAT's

One can't help but wonder what would have happened if LT played more than two series. One also can't help but wonder what would have happened if the Chargers could score td's instead of kicking field goals.

Looks like Tynes will be able to hold onto his job. For one more game anyway. We... read the complete article.

The Championship Games are set. There was some good football this week and next week should be just as entertaining. Let’s get it on.

NY Giants 21 at Dallas 17: The Giants are probably the hottest team in the league right now. Well, outside of the Pats anyway. The Cowboys played like they did the last couple weeks of the season and are now done. Fantasy Players of the Game: Eli Manning (163yds 2td), Amani Toomer (80yds 2td), Marion Barber (129yds 1td)
Seattle 20 at Green Bay 42: Green Bay started the game down 14-0 but the Seahawks just couldn’t hold up. Fantasy Players of the Game: Matt Hasselbeck (194yds 1td), Brett Favre (173yds 3td), Ryan Grant (201yds 3td), Greg Jennings (71yds 2td)
Jacksonville 20 at New England 31: It seems to be a recurring theme for the Pats. The Jags played tough, but in the end, the Pats were just too much. Fantasy Players of the Game: David Garrard (278yds 2td), Tom Brady (262yds, 3td), Laurence Maroney (122yds 1td), Ben Watson (12yds 2td)
San Diego 28 at Indianapolis 24: I’ll admit it; I didn’t think the Chargers could beat the Colts. Now it’s the Pats, and I still don’t think the Chargers can win. Fantasy Players of the Game: Philip Rivers (264yds 3td), Vincent Jackson (93yds 1td), Peyton Manning (402yds 3td), Dallas Clark (95yds 1td)

PAT’s

They aren’t saying much about LT, Rivers, and Gates this week and how they are doing. It’s not surprising. I’m sure they want to keep... read the complete article.

The Wild Card games are done and a couple of them were pretty entertaining. Of course both of those were in the AFC. The NFC just isn’t very good and we had a couple of teams that earned their way in, but probably didn’t belong. The AFC proved how deep it is and we got the best action and hardest hits. Let’s get it on.

NY Giants 24 at Tampa Bay 14: Tampa looked like a team that hadn’t really tried in 3 or 4 weeks. Oh wait, they didn’t. The Giants looked pretty good and could give Dallas some trouble. Fantasy Players of the Game: Eli Manning (185yds 2td), Earnest Graham (63yds 1td)
Washington 14 at Seattle 35: The Seahawks just rolled over the Skins. The Skins deserve a lot of credit for getting as far as they did with all they went through this year, but just didn’t have enough. Fantasy Players of the Game: Todd Collins (266yds 2tds), Antwaan Randle El (94yds 1td), DJ Hackett (101yds 1td), Seattle D (2int 2td)
Jacksonville 31 at Pittsburgh 29: It looked like the Steelers had this one wrapped up, but the Jags kept fighting back. This was the game of the week by far. Fantasy Players of the Game: Maurice Jones-Drew (72total yds, 2td), Ben Roethlisberger (337yds 2tds), Najeh Davenport (25yds 2td)
Tennessee 6 at San Diego 17: We all new the Titans had plenty of D and we all knew they didn’t have enough O to get very far. What do you know, we were right. SD gets another shot at Indy which should be a fun game. Fantasy Player of the... read the complete article.

That’s it for the regular season and we are now onto the playoffs. Many of you will play in some sort of playoff fantasy league. Basically, there are two types of these leagues. The first lets you pick anyone from any team and you keep that team through the playoffs. There are two strategies to this league. One is to load up on anyone you think will be in the Super Bowl and hope they all produce. The second is to spread yourself out with a nice balance of good players from all the teams, hoping that your big guns make it all the way. The second type of league gives you only one person per playoff team. In this type of league, you not only have to pick who you think is the best weapon from each team, but find the one person who is going to be huge that nobody else has. We’ll get into the players to keep an eye on later, but first, we’ve got week 17 to review. Let’s roll.

New England 38 at NY Giants 35: For two teams with nothing to play for, these guys sure left it all on the field. Congrats to Brady, Moss, and the rest of the Pats for setting records for most td passes in a season, td catches in a season, most td’s by a team in a season, most points scored by a team. Plus whatever I’m forgetting. Don’t forget the Giants. I can’t give them enough credit for playing as hard and as well as they did with nothing to gain. Fantasy Players of the Game: Tom Brady (356yds 2td), Randy Moss (100yds 2td), Laurence Maroney (46yds 2td), Eli Manning (251yds 4td... read the complete article.

Merry Christmas to all of the readers out there. Welcome to another edition of Gridironff.com’s Week in Review. Let’s get to it.

Pittsburgh 41 at St. Louis 24: The Steelers rolled in this one, but lost Willie Parker for the season. The Rams just look like a team that doesn’t know what they want to do. They have all kinds of weapons but don’t know if they want to pound the ball or sling it all over the place. Fantasy Players of the Game: Ben Roethlisberger (261yds 3tds), Najeh Davenport (123yds 2td), Nate Washington (50yds 2td), Marc Bulger (201yds 3tds)
Dallas 20 at Carolina 13: The Cowboys sealed up the number one seed, but lost TO for a couple of weeks. Carolina sealed up a shot at a pretty good draft pick. Fantasy Players of the Game: Marion Barber (110yds 1td), Steve Smith (137yds 1td)
NY Giants 38 at Buffalo 21: Kevin Everett walked into the stadium and it gave the Bills a big lift for about 20 minutes. The Giants just ran them over. Fantasy Players of the Game: Ahmad Bradshaw (151yds 1td), Brandon Jacobs (145yds 2td), Trent Edwards (161yds 2td)
Houston 15 at Indianapolis 38: Indy reminded everyone that they are a great team and shouldn’t be overlooked. Houston reminded everyone that they still have some work to do. Fantasy Players of the Game: Sage Rosenfels (233yds 2td), Peyton Manning (311yds 3td), Reggie Wayne (143yds 1td), Dallas Clark (60yds 2td)
Cleveland 14 at Cincinnati 19: Cleveland could have sealed up... read the complete article.

The push for the playoffs continues in both the NFL and fantasy leagues around the world. We had it all this week. There was crazy weather. There was offensive explosion. There was a winless team getting a win. Let’s get right to it.

Denver 13 at Houston 31: Houston had to win to keep any hope of the playoffs alive. Denver is still technically alive after this, but it isn’t looking good for the Broncos. Both teams still seem to have a little work to do before anyone considers them real contenders. Fantasy Players of the Game: Andre Johnson (86yds 1td), Sage Rosenfels (200yds, 1 pass td, 1 run td), Tony Scheffler (100yds 1td)
Cincinnati 13 at San Francisco 20: There’s something wrong with the Bengals that goes beyond a D that made Shawn Hill look like Joe Montana. That offense just doesn’t click. San Francisco showed a little of what made them the pre-season darlings of the football world. It’s a little late, but what can you do. Fantasy Players of the Game: Carson Palmer (252yds 1td), Shaun Hill (197yds 1 pass td, 1 run td), Frank Gore (138yds)
Arizona 24 at New Orleans 31: The Saints O is really on a roll the last few weeks and is looking pretty good. The Cards (for about the eighth year in a row) look about a year away from being contenders. Fantasy Players of the Game: Kurt Warner (233yds 3tds), Drew Brees (315yds 2tds), Marques Colston (114yds 1td), Aaron Stecker (95yds 2tds)
Tennessee 26 at Kansas City 17: The Titans held... read the complete article.

Welcome to Gridironff.com’s Week In Review. Week 14 saw many leagues wrap up their regular seasons this week, so with the fantasy playoffs starting just around the corner, let’s get right to it.

Chicago 16 at Washington 24: Both teams had a short week and the Redskins had a real short week to get ready for this. Both teams lost their QB’s and neither team is very good, but Washington held onto some playoff hope. Fantasy Players of the Game: Brian Griese (295yds 1td), Bernard Berrian (91yds 1td), Todd Collins (224yds 2tds)
St. Louis 10 at Cincinnati 19: We’ve said it all year, this is what the Rams are like without Bulger. They’re horrible and it looks like the only guy on offense who is working hard is Jackson, but he can’t do it alone. I don’t know what’s wrong with the Bengals. They just don’t seem to do anything real well anymore. Fantasy Player of the Game: Rudi Johnson (92yds 1td)
Dallas 28 at Detroit 27: Tony Romo’s young legend continues to grow. No matter what the Lions say, they can’t get away from sucking at times. So much for 10 wins. Fantasy Players of the Game: Tony Romo (302yds 2tds), Marion Barber (104 total yds, 3tds), Jason Witten (138yds 1td), Kevin Jones (92yds 2tds)
Tampa Bay 14 at Houston 28: This game sums up the difference between the NFC and AFC. The Bucs came in with a fantastic D, a solid O, and leading the NFC South. The Texans came in with a pretty good D and a pretty good O and pretty much out of... read the complete article.

Welcome to Gridironff.com’s Week In Review. There was some real good football this week, and some pretty bad football as well. Let’s roll.

Green Bay 27 at Dallas 37: Packer fans got a dose of reality and Cowboy fans are just loving life. At least Green Bay found out that Rodgers can play a little. Fantasy Players of the Game: Tony Romo (309yds 4tds), Terrell Owens (156yds 1td), Patrick Crayton (42yds 2tds), Ryan Grant (94yds 2tds)
Detroit 10 at Minnesota 42: Kitna said that the Lions would be disappointed if they didn’t win 10 games this year. They better get off their asses or they’ll be disappointed. The Vikings have finally looked like a good team the last couple of weeks. T Jack might finally be getting it and AP is incredible. Fantasy Players of the Game: Tarvaris Jackson (204yds 2tds), Adrian Peterson (116yds 2tds)
Seattle 28 at Philadelphia 24: The rain was pouring and Feeley looked like a back-up. The Seahawks look like they have the last 5 or 6 years. They are a good team, but not great by any stretch of the imagination. Fantasy Players of the Game: Brian Westbrook (139 total yds 1td), Kevin Curtis (111yds 1td), Matt Hasselbeck (187yds 2tds)
San Diego 24 at Kansas City 10: LT just owns the AFC West. How bad is your offense when you have to rely on a DE to catch your only td of the game? Fantasy Players of the Game: LaDainian Tomlinson (177yds 2tds), Jared Allen (2yds 1td, 2 sacks)
NY Jets 40 at Miami 13: I thought... read the complete article.

Welcome to Gridironff.com’s Week In Review. We hope everyone out there had a happy and safe Thanksgiving. Let’s get to the football.

Green Bay 37 at Detroit 26: Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Green Bay is for real. Detroit has lost some momentum. They aren’t throwing the ball very well and they aren’t running the ball well. Fantasy Players of the Game: Brett Favre (381yds 3tds), Ryan Grant (101yds 1td), Greg Jennings (60yds 2tds), Kevin Jones (93yds 1td), Calvin Johnson (83yds 1td)
NY Jets 3 at Dallas 34: Dallas is solid and the Jets are horrible. Enough said. Fantasy Players of the Game: Marion Barber (103yds 1td), Tony Romo (195yds 2tds)
Indianapolis 31 at Atlanta 13: Atlanta needs a QB something fierce. Indy is solid even without some key players. Fantasy Players of the Game: Peyton Manning (272yds 3tds), Roddy White (104yds 1td)
Buffalo 14 at Jacksonville 36: The Bills just don’t have enough O to get it done in the AFC. The Jags just might challenge the Colts for the division. Fantasy Players of the Game: Anthony Thomas (91 total yds 1td), David Garrard (296yds 1td), Fred Taylor (104yds 1td)
Houston 17 at Cleveland 27: Cleveland showed some D in this one, but you have to wonder if it can hold up in the playoffs. Houston just made too many mistakes in this one. Fantasy Players of the Game: Matt Schaub (256yds 2tds), Owen Daniels (82yds 1td), Derek Anderson (253yds 2tds), Jamal Lewis (134yds 1td), Kellen Winslow (107yds... read the complete article.
